Zack Isakow

Zack Isakow

Camp Director

Zack Isakow, the director of Camp Ilan, has extensive experience in camping and informal education for children of all ages. Zack is originally from Toronto, Ontario and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Education from York University and a Master’s degree in Educational Administration from the University of Toronto. In addition to his formal education background, Zack has been involved in the camping ‘business’ for many years.

Zack spent 10 straight summers as a camper at Camp Moshava Canada, and for the past 9 years, he has worked in sleep-away camps across North America and Israel. Zack has held a variety of leadership positions as a counselor, program coordinator, sports specialist, Jewish educator and tour guide. Zack’s strong commitment to Jewish camping led him to assume the position as the ‘Rosh Moshava’ (head counselor) of Camp Moshava Canada in 2009 and 2010.

It was the experience Zack gained as the head counselor that provided him with the knowledge of what is essential in running a stimulating, professional, fun and safe Jewish camp program. For Zack, camping and informal education is more than a career; it is a passion. Zack is very excited for Camp Ilan 2017 and looks forward to developing a relationship with both you and your children.

Bella will be here to help every child or parent, in whatever they need, no matter how big or small.

I had so much fun, I love the dancing, swimming and the outings. Each day is filled with new surprises and activities,  I particularly liked the dance on Fridays. My counsellors were so nice ,I can’t wait to see them again and have another great summer at Camp Ilan.
