Meet Our Staff
Co-Director of Camp Ilan
Bella Benarroch, has spent more than half her life involved in summer camps. She has worked with various age groups in both day and sleep away camps and has taken part in all aspects of the camp experience. Bella has created amazing Jewish camp experiences for so many campers and has trained staff to do the same for the younger generations.
Bella spent 7 summers working at Camp Massad starting out as a counsellor and moving up to Rosh Tzevet (Head of Staff) and Administrative Coordinator. Camp Massad holds a special place in her heart because it is where she met her husband, Shlomo.
Most recently, Bella has filled the important role of Assistant Director at Camp Ilan, taking care of the various details that make our camp the amazing place it is. From 2010 to 2017, Bella worked in almost every grade in the Hebrew Academy Elementary School helping each student reach their full potential. This past school year, she decided to take on a new challenge and went back to school to study Diagnostic Imaging at Dawson College.
Bella is thrilled to be taking on this new and exciting role in the Camp Ilan team and can’t wait to dance, swim, paint and learn with all the wonderful campers. Bella will be here to help every child or parent in whatever they need, no matter how big or small. She will make sure that camp runs as seamlessly as ever and that summer 2018 is the best one yet.

I had so much fun, I love the dancing, swimming and the outings. Each day is filled with new surprises and activities, I particularly liked the dance on Fridays. My counsellors were so nice ,I can’t wait to see them again and have another great summer at Camp Ilan.
It was great knowing how well organized Camp Ilan was. We also saw how much fun our daughter had with the wonderful end of the day ceremony and occasional flashmob! She can’t wait to go back!
We have had our son in camp since the first day it opened. Camp Ilan is an incredible camp, filled with amazing programs, and highly energetic, and responsible staff! Zack , the camp director makes everyone feel at home at Camp Ilan. He gives personalized attention and pays attention to detail in every aspect of running the camp. We couldn’t be more happy with the quality of camp offered, and most of all with the Jewish and Zionist ruach that inspires our kids all throughout the summer!
So, where is all the fun happening?
